Friday, September 17, 2021 - Deep red with slight fading at rim. Gorgeous nose of black cherries and tobacco. Beautifully delineated fruit, black cherries, blackberries, sweet tobacco. Perfectly resolved tannins, soft and clear acidity, beautiful balance. Finishes long and graceful with dark fruits and a touch of minerality. This is at peak but not heading south anytime soon. Mellow, yet bold, elegant. Still youthful. I think you could safely drink this over the next 10 years. No sign of the 14.5% ABV. Yes, I really liked it -- more importantly, so did my wife.
