Friday, October 22, 2021 - Outstanding Old World Napa Cabs: This wine really seemed to show its age, especially for a 2002, but still drinking quite well. The wine was slightly oxidized, but still quite lively and acidic. Nose showed hay, some funk, some fruit and some chalk. The palate showed ripe stoned fruit, saline and limestone, with a slight hint of caramel on the finish. A nice 2002 Champagne that I would recommend drinking sooner than later, based on this bottle. A solid 92.
