Tuesday, April 3, 2012 - Very dark garnet coloration. Upon opening in your face aromas of blackberries. Nose also is a bit beefy or meaty and after a few minutes opens up with scents found walking through the woods to the blueberry patch. Even after breathing one can tell this wine needs more time. Flavors include cassis, slight ceder, mouth coating smooth tannin and finally a bit of earth on the finish. Somewhat lean. Leaves mineral deposit on ones lips.
