Saturday, March 23, 2013 - Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful wine. However, when we had it stacked up blind against a 2001 Rojas and a 2009 CDP, it did not come out on top. Again, don't get me wrong, everyone loved the wine, but they also loved the others as well. What I walked away from the evening with is that you do NOT have to spend $135 a bottle to have a really incredible wine experience. If prestige is important, I get have a QC on the table. But if you're trying to serve a great wine with your meal, there are multiple better options. I am on the Quilceda mailing list, and may never order another bottle until I win the lottery.
