Saturday, January 14, 2017 - 2008 Quilceda Horizontal (Homebase): I did a Coravin taste-off between 2008 Quilceda wines, the Bordeaux blend Palengat, the Galitzine and their flagship Cabernet. This was the WOTN as it weaved that magical spell of complexity and balance but all three wines were very close and you could tell the same wine-making yielded some very good results as it was hard to differentiate them. I will leave this in the cellar and trust the Coravin system to preserve it and will post detailed notes once we pull the actual cork.
