Sunday, February 28, 2021 - I had not tried a bottle since my good friend Michael served it at his house one night a few years back. I opened it and slow ox'd for 6 hours. Put the cork in and took to my club for steak night. We poured though a vintorio. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was alive with blackberry, burnt cherry, fig, tobacco and hints coffee. The finish was long and full. I think it slightly overshadowed the 2010 Realm Farella we drank alongside. My wife thinks different which is why I do the writeups early when she is sleeping.
