Friday, September 19, 2014 - For a 13 year old wine, this Tondonia is remarkably youthful. Medium red brick color with a hint of brown on the rim. Delightful subtle bouquet of vanillin oak and sous-bois. The youthfulness is primarily evident on the palate: a great backbone of acidity that gives the wine structure and style. Tannins aril present, although softening. Nice, tangy finish. Not a great deal of complexity, but I expect this to emerge over time. After all, it's only 13 yrs old!
