92 Points

Monday, January 15, 2018 - Somewhat flamboyant nose, exotic spices, soft, plush, very good extraction, ripe cassis, red macerated cherry with a touch of raisination in the back of the palate; slightly hot (14%) with a smooth plush mouthfeel of soft leather and gravel. This was good but a too ripe for my liking, although not as ripe as some '09's.
With Frederic Faye, winemaker.
Notes: One of the largest estates on the right bank, same family since 1892, whole cluster; The planting of roughly 1/3 each CS, CF, M started in the late 1950's after the 1956 killer frost.
