1/23/2017 1:21:00 AM - Probably more to do with the Aussie rating habit set by James Halliday (who seldom score below 90) and the fact that we pay a premium for good value imported wines. If only I paid 20 euro...
1/23/2017 10:50:00 AM - It's a good comment about the Aussie ratings system. I could have rated this wine 95 as it had more or less the depth, wells of fruit etc but just didnt have the length to go with it thus the 93. However its all conjecture at least on my part, I am no professional. I look forward to chatting with you about fine wine further as you have tasted some wonderful bottles. Most of the great Aussie bottles that I drank were a good ten years or so ago. We get mainly the big brands here in Europe and a smattering of independents.
