Sunday, October 22, 2017 - First bottle in two years from an EP case. Opened to slow ox and consume with a flank steak. The cork was saturated blackberry. Very aromatic on opening with cassis, blackberries, clove, and mint. The palate is not as fresh with strong tannic structure overtaking the fruit. Very dry on the palate with lots of oak, charcoal, and incense. A lingering finish of tart blackberries with incense.

Not terribly elegant for the vintage. Respectable for the price, but don't expect any wow factor.
