Monday, April 25, 2016 - I needed some white wine for a blue cheese sauce which was a good excuse to open this young sauternes. Beautiful yellow gold now with long legs trickling down slowly. On the nose a gorgeous cocktail of acacia, vanilla, honey, botrytis, pineapple and lemon with a butter coating. sumptuous with everything in the right place. Full bodied and yet still in its infancy. it reminds me more of the Rieussec 1986. This will last for at least another 30 years if we'll manage to resist depleting my stock.

This year is in my opinion on par with 86 and 88 and a true classic
