Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - LIght red. Pale. Definitely some smoke but also earthy strawberries and cherries. Restrained nose. Nose doesn't begin to hint at the palate. Big, vibrant red fruits. Lots of earthy minerality and balancing acidity. Absolutely gorgeous overall mouthfeel and weight. Just kept getting better and more interesting over time. Roasted brown sugard. Root beer. Day 2 - a little lighter on the palate. Smoked fruits. Wet campfire. But still very nice with just a hint of funk.
