Wednesday, February 15, 2012 - This is the second bottle of this wine and vintage we have had. Previously we had scored it a 90. Happy to report this wine is still drinking nicely and we are both enjoying this bottle slightly more than the last one. It's not a huge California fruit bomb, and that is meant as a compliment. Nice nose of blackberry and currant, complex flavors on the palate including earth, smoke and dark cherries. At over a decade old, there's plenty of balance here on the nose, mouth, acid, tannin and finish. Recommended.
