Saturday, April 18, 2015 - Clear medium gold color. Expressive aromas of gun flint, candied apple, black tea, honeysuckle and cardamom- very secondary and medium in intensity. Intense flavors of red and green apple and lemon zest, with high toned minerality and floral depth. Just hints of the spice found on the bouquet. Medium body tending toward lean, with medium+ acid and grainy tannin. Spice, salinity and mineral notes emerge on the finish- mouthwatering and medium in length. Nicely complex and a bit austere. Showing well.
