Thursday, January 7, 2021 - Firm tannins and vivid apperance. Nice dark red colour. No signs of deterioration. Good acidity but less prominent aromas. Quite short finish. Nice to know: The former owner of this domaine is mr. Gosset, one of the sons of the owner of Champagne Gosset. Due to inheritance tax, mr Gosset was forced to sell Champagne Gosset and started domaine Chateau de la Grille. The wine is bottled in Champagne Gosset bottles which explains the unfamiliar shape of the bottles. Mr. Gosset unfortunately had to sell Chateau de la Grille because his philosophy was to cellar all the wines he produced until they were properly matured prevwnting the wines to be drunk to young. This strategy caused a serious financial issue which led to selling the property to Maison Baudry-Du Tour in 2009.
