Monday, November 2, 2015 - Appearance: Bright and clear, it has deep ruby color, with narrow garnet rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity of black fruit of blackcurrant, bilberry and blackberry, pungent spice of licorice, oak notes of vanilla, kernel notes of mocha, sweet spice of clove, animal notes of leather, maturity notes of savory. The wine is still developing.
Palate: Dry, with medium acidity and high tannin of ripe and a bit dusty on texture, the wine has medium (+) alcohol and full body, demonstrating medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit such as blackcurrant, blackberry and bilberry, oak notes of vanilla, pungent spice of licorice, kernel notes of mocha. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Australian Shiraz with the typical varietal ripeness of the country, but at the same time showing the finesse, the wine has an intense nose of complex characters, while on the palate it is rich, ripe but without many of the country’s heady alcohol, with everything in balance, having concentrated flavors and long finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for another 2-3 years.
