Wednesday, June 6, 2012 - Popped and poured. Cork perfect. Color brown garnet with brick edges. On the nose this shows mostly secondary at first with prominent cedar mild tobacco and mint. With a little air the fruit emerges. On palate this is mature Cabernet, soft tannins framing the fruity full body. In a really really nice place right now. This is a bday wine for my son and the best of 6 so far. California cab is not one of my "go to" wines right now but really looking forward to future bottles. I expect significant longevity from this one. excellent leaning toward outstanding.
