Wednesday, December 26, 2012 - Drank (non-blind) alongside a '96 Chateau le Boscq St. Estephe - and it definitely showed off the contrast in new world/old world styles. The Mondavi was a fruit bomb of black currant, black cherries with tobacco, tea, fine leather and cedar on the nose. Ripe cherries, blackberries, cedar, fine leather and tea on the palate. Tannins were still medium, the wine will last for a number more years. I've had this in the past and really enjoy it.
