Monday, March 9, 2009 - Great wine, still surprisingly young and full of fruit.
Ruby appearance, clear, with little to no sediment
Nose of blackberry and currants with leather/tobacco and cedar hints and green pepper
Palate: tight at first but opened quite nicely after decanting and 2-3 hours of breathing. black fruit, tobacco and spice. Very well balanced with integrated tannins
Long finish, could age longer but close to peak.
Enjoyed with a nice aged sirloin.
