Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, September 8, 2015 - Decanted for four hours. Nose: directly after decanting very nice fruit with raspberry, but in the glass quite closed. Taste: quite closed, just for one moment one can taste the really good fruit, leather (?) and chocolate that are hidden behind the still quite harsh tannins. At the third day the nose as well as the taste were more open, with plum and blackberry, chocolate and nice herbal notes in the taste. Already quite much deposit, the tannins were resolved in considerable amount. Only the 14% alcohol is to much for me, be it less disturbing than one year ago. This wine has developed since one year, but still needs at least one, maybe two more years of cellaring. I can’t rate it now, but am curious how this will develop. Potenially 88+?
