Saturday, May 16, 2015 - Bordeaux Confidential USA, Nose of cigar box, pepper, and currants, more of the same on the palate, medium body and medium fruit, simple tasting, better in two years, medium finish.

7/15/2015 11:49:00 AM - try holding on to some of these for 10 years past vintage and you will be happily rewarded. Cantemerle really shows well with age, like its close neighbor La Laguna. Serious qpr contenders of classified Medoc grand vin.

7/15/2015 1:46:00 PM - at 6 years from the vintage with a full case, it does not hurt to drink some is my opinion. the only good La Lagune in my opinion is 1982 and 1986.

7/15/2015 4:57:00 PM - The last 10 years over the entire Medoc quality is up, but especially the 2000, 2005, 2008-2010. 2006 will take patience and some of the 04 and 01 and 02 are really just starting to get good. I tried a bottle of the 2006 a couple years back. It was a in complete shutdown. again I think the better vintages will prove to be better in the long run. A case of Cantemerle is always a good thing. Why not give it a try? I am glad you did.

7/15/2015 9:28:00 PM - I have enjoyed many vintages of Chateau Cantemerle. for value I prefer Branaire-Ducru, Clark-I am partial to Merlot, and Sociando Mallet.
