2007 Woodward Canyon Merlot

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Wednesday, December 31, 2014 - 2007 was as good as it gets in Washington, and this Woodward Canyon Merlot is still in a hopeful spot on its ageing curve. Still fresh and bright, the complex nose is generous with its dark chocolate, bark, and plum. More on the palate, but the acids are something to behold and lead you through a long finish of many good things. On day two, this is still holding up, with rich chocolate, olive and mint on the silky smooth palate. This is gorgeous palate-staining merlot with lovely, subtle complexity.
