Monday, July 1, 2013 - Palate shows a quick punch of darker fruit flavors immediately drowned by heavy oak, leaves, and a bitterness (dust and perhaps endives?). Medium to full bodied tannins coat the mouth and may remain there for a moment, yet the flavors themselves are quick to dissappear and finish abruptly.
Served after decanting for ten minutes.. perhaps more time would have helped?
I could certainly see why some might enjoy it, yet not my speed.
