Saturday, July 4, 2015 - This is a magnificent dessert wine which I had tasted before only once, at the winery 2 years ago. Deep gold in color, with on the nose dried apricots, mangoes, peaches, candied orange peels and marzipan. Full-bodied, round, rich and sweet but not cloyingly so, THANKS to the bracing acidity. On the palate dried apricots and mangoes followed by ripe, sweet citrus fruits and bitter orange jam as well as honey, lemon curd with notes of vanilla and caramelized almonds lingering long on the plush finish. Magnifique. 11.5% Abv.
