Monday, July 3, 2023 - The first positive about this wine is that the nose could only be left bank Bordeaux and you could pick it out 100/100 times if tasted blind. The wine leans toward classic and is not thick by any stretch, but that is great if you're enjoying with food. This was decanted for 3+ hours and only then started to open up so avoid taking this to a restaurant. Great acidity, nice fruit, a bit lean (by modern vintage standards), and decently long finish. This could get quite interesting in 5-10 years but really solid an enjoyable now with air. No rush on this classical wine.
