Very classy, delightful, lush, yet understated palate. Fine finish. This is evolving into a magnificent wine. Virtue of a good Ducru is on the mid-palate. It has has a fair amount of power and density but it is delivered so seamlessly. With a wine like this you can understand why some regarded it as the Lafite of St-Julien. I took some 1986 Ducrus out at the same time, which are now drinking very well, and a wine I have always liked. But the 1995 is the better wine, better than the 1982 as well.
