Wednesday, September 29, 2021 - This is another left banker from 1995 that has blossomed into life in the last 12 months, but I still feel a few hours decanting pays dividends. It has hit its sweet spot and is a beautiful drink showing real maturity with secondary and early tertiary notes. The nose is deep and aromatic with plum, blackcurrant, tobacco, and cedar prominent and floral wafts. The previous tannic leanness is now a thing of the past and everything is integrated and balanced on the palate and finish. The latter does not quite match the rest of the experience but is still nudging 30 seconds. This still has possible upside in its evolvement, but there is no reason not to start enjoying this now.
