Sunday, December 24, 2017 - This is about as bruiser of a 2008 as it comes. The nose is very dark, with clear black fruit notes, and none of the crunchiness nor the floral prettiness of so many other wines of the vintage. But the density of this wine serves it well, with the lightness of the vintage adding an acidic kick to an otherwise very ripe and sappy pinot noir. This seems to have developed some more earthiness since the last time I tasted this wine.
