With the Ponsot iconic status growing, it was all the more disappointing to encounter such a terrible bottle. Very little fruit delineation , and an acid balance that was off. I was asked if it was corked — not with the synthetic cork of course. Pretty color, rich viscosity, no pleasant flavors. Surprisingly bad grape selection.
