Wednesday, August 30, 2017 - Tasted at the Westin St. Francis Chateau Montelena Tasting Room in Downtown San Francisco, this was a real treat, blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Petit Verdot, nose of ripe black cherry, ripe red cherry, black berry, fresh fruit, and a touch of tar, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling, slightly brooding due to presence of small amount of soft tannins, and a long, flavorful finish, probably better in 2 years.
