Monday, March 6, 2023 - I dont know why Flora Springs gets no real love and respect within Napa. I have always thought that they make solid, well made wines that age gracefully, while maintaining balance.

I bought this at the downtown tasting room in Napa about 10 years ago, picked from a pouring of all their "Library" wines. Fully mature, without noticeable fatigue, it doesn't seem to have moved much. Lots of deep red fruit, with a deep hue of amber running through it, the wine has that signature napa cab character of cassis and roasted plums and strawberry, wrapped in faint oak. As a friend so wisely commented once, most Napa wines dont get better with age. This is probably as good as it was, without improvement. DRINK
