Thursday, January 10, 2013 - The nose shows nice honeydew melon, beeswax and pineapple aromas with a touch of minerality. Strange sensations on the palate, this has the weight of something much sweeter but the finish is not very sweet. The melon flavors show on the palate as well but make me think cantaloupe, also flavors of red delicious apple and nectarine. Bright acidity, ok balance with the flavors. It's great Riesling at the price, but this didn't wow me like last time. Like always, I could see this being amazing with spicy curry. Dang, I'm hungry.
