Saturday, June 7, 2014 - A bit hot on opening, the wine improved markedly in the decanter over an hour or so. The fruit is subdued in both the nose and pallette, the tannins are a little overbearing and bitter. The wine is strongly oaked with a strong buttery vanilla note. The finish is a bit short and mostly bitter tannins and oak. The wine should improve in the bottle over the next few years.
