Friday, July 5, 2013 - Decanted 4 hours and served with red wine/garlic beef brisket, potatoes, and mixed veggies. Tar, purple color that trends to violet on the surface. Nose of green pepper, onion, feint fruit, clay, and tar. Palate hits with dark raspberries, sour grapes, menthol, lime, and earthy moss. Finish is dusty but soft with mushrooms and herbs. Overall, very well structured and delineated wine that will age nicely. I won't touch again until 2015.
