Saturday, June 22, 2019 - Followed over several hours. Quite closed initially and never quite shook its oak influence. Eventually shows quintessential Pichon Lalande favor profile. Slightly herbaceous on the nose and palate—but the good kind. Palate is a bit dry seemingly still showing oak tannin. Still needs a few more years to pull together. Lighter weight and complexity than the “better” years.
