Monday, April 15, 2024 - Bordeaux 2004 20 years on Part 2 (Hawksmoor Guildhall): Lovely cassis fruit here, plus smoked meat, cedar and pencil lead, this is nicely balanced and quite classical, albeit perhaps less immediately dusty old school desk Pauillac than I was expecting. It's a bit more alive and vibrant than this, youth still on its side. Good bottle, solid and enjoyable, plenty of time in hand.
