Saturday, April 18, 2015 - Starts off with a whiff of dust but the fruit then grows as it opens up more and more. Cassis, mint, and a lot more. Lovely lift and tension to it. Far from peak but to me this is so refreshing with a great balance. Still tannic, a bit earthy, and a very long finish that just begs you to take another sip. The obvious winner tonight but the competition was really only from the 2011 La Jota Cab. Nice to see that everyone spotted the quality wine of the night, regardless of wine experience! Me 93-94p
