Saturday, November 7, 2015 - Vertical tasting of Pontet Canet 2003-2012. Very similar in colour to the 2003, just a bit brighter, less brownish around the rim. Cooler on the nose, there is ripe red fruit, but much less of the lushness and exuberance of the 2003. More classic somehow. In comparison at least a bit vegetal. On the palate juicy, fresh, again a bit of greenness, slightly drying tannins. Nicely balanced and quite persistent. 91-92+
