Shows plenty more lead pencil on the palate, along with cassis, leather, and bright red cherries shining through on the finish. While there was still lots of structure left in the tank this was surprisingly advanced and mature considering it's age. Definitely showing the most secondary notes of the 2004's tasted this evening. Delicious but i'd be a bit concerned if this bottle was a good example of where this wine is at right now. Very good+
