Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - Ample nose of blackberry, cassis, menthol, and vanilla. Blackberry and dark fruit initially, then a weighty mid-palate giving way to red fruits and a decidedly welcome acidity, making the wine very food friendly (I suggest anything with bacon!). Nicely integrated tannins, an harmonious wine. Lingering finish keeps the mouth stimulated and leaves you wanting the next sip.
