Saturday, January 28, 2012 - Tasted in Jan. 2012 as part of a mini-vertical of E. Guigal Hermitage vintages 99, 97, and 95. This vintage fell in the middle for me with some lovely fruit aromas but not much in the way of layered complexity. There was an almost candy-like sweet grape aroma in there too. Soft tannins, lovely mouthfeel, great balance. Smooth and steady finish.
