Sunday, June 17, 2012 - We bought this for Sunday AM Mimosa's and as usual decided to try a flute first. This is not your typical sparkler, and is quite a value for about 6 bucks. I'm pretty sure this Chardonnay still wine was vinified not to be a sparkler, then put through secondary fermentation. But, that is not all bad. The base wine is quite big and unctuous. With some bubbles, it is not typical, but very tasty. The color is very much like Chardonnay. The viscosity is very heavy for a sparkler. Not particularly acidic. Leaves a nice enough impression, to have a few bottles around.
