Tuesday, August 19, 2014 - Okay I have to stop drinking forever so this is my last BOTTLE for now... better be bloody good for $90
1st taste on opening = meh 83, closed, olives, tannins are nice but muddied, a dirty little bitch of a Shiraz with a lot of alcohol
2nd taste on decanting for 10 minutes = much better an 87.
3rd taste onwards after 4 hours in the decanter = WOW.. add some air and this is a bloody nice drop 93.......... better I suspect tomorrow
Nope one good taste and 95% of the bottle was ho hum, dirty, deep not integrated tannins, piss poor Aussie Shiraz.
Day 2 was much worse..... meh 83-85 overall
I am so disappointed

2/1/2018 3:40:00 PM - I've had consistent bad luck with 10yo + Australian wine, closed with corks, bought from wine stores, including an early 200s Higinbotham. Haven't had a problem with restaurant bottles nor with bottles with screw caps
