Friday, December 25, 1992 - As with 1985 and 86 Cos d'Estournel, almost identical wines except 1986 a little deeper and will age longer!! Cinnamon and spice, and red fruits on the nose!! Taste reminds me of wonderful ripe plums (large amount of Merlot?). Excellent long finish, with tannin masked by the fruit. More expressive than many Bordeaux!! Terrific Christmas wine with my Father!! He normally only liked Champagnes, but enjoyed this with fresh, homemade bread and cheese!!
