Monday, February 19, 2024 - This was a thing of beauty. A bit shy on the nose at first, this opened up with classic blue fruits and smoky/savory tones that gained depth and precision with a couple hours of air. As joyous as the nose was, it was on the palate where this slayed: beautifully sweet fruit on the gentlest frame, silken and delicate with virtually no weight at all, with amazing length and persistence. You never know with these older bottles, but this was an exceptionally fine Côte-Rôtie.
