Sunday, April 21, 2013 - For a wine this rare, its heartening to see quite a few notes for this in CT. Lovely vermilion hue. Very soft mousse and bubbles. On the nose this was resplendent with fresh strawberries, persimmons and raspberries. On the palate, this is not a blockbuster, but an elegant and pure representation of the terroir. True to its cepage, you could almost feel like drinking a red Burgundy if blinded. A more-ish wine, makes you reach for it glass after glass. A hypothetical blend of a Chambolle and Chablis. A zen Champagne.
