Sunday, February 20, 2011 - Nice wine. Decanted and paired with pesto-sauced pizzas my wife and I made for our 2 year anniversary. Classic Chianti cherries and leather with nice hints of anise and aromatic cedar wood from the oak. Still rustic but had a nice slice of refinement which did not completely overpower the grilled veggies on the pizza. I may be biased because of the occasion, but this wine restored my faith in well made Chainti. $22/pop, Overall Rating: A-
