Sunday, June 19, 2016 - On one of my first stops at WC, the 02 Merlot sold me on this quality winery. Several years later I ordered 2 bottles from their library and on Fathers Day we opened one. It's a mature wine as expected with a dark amber/ruby tone. The body is surprisingly light. The nose still carries Bing cherry. The tannins are firm and tastes include chocolate and cherry flavors and a long chocolate finish. The wine is mature but should still be drinking well for a few more years.
