Saturday, May 18, 2013 - Color starting to turn a bit mahogany. Elegant color. Nose? Wow. Fragrant. Dried cherry, eucalyptus, pencil shavings, charcoal. Not shy on oak influence. But on the palate, what a balance of new world fruit with old world sensibility, the flavor is intense red fruits with a hint of earth and minerals. Medium + finish, great acidity. Paired wonderfully with a mushroom risotto. Well done! 93+
