Tuesday, May 24, 2011 - Pop and pour and from the moment the bottle was uncorked the scents of this wine filled the room. Initially a tiny bit of a bretty note that quickly dissipated and revealed floral elements mixed with truffle, earth and worn leather. Amazing nose that you just want to inhale all day long. Very little bricking in the color and surprisingly little sediment throughout the bottle. On the palate this was still fresh and pure good acidty, rich cassis fruit and nicely resolved tannins giving it an incredible mouthfeel. I feel like this wine is in a near perfect place right now. One of the best Bordeaux, if not best overall bottle of wine, I've ever had.
